We finally have a break from the constant downpour on the Space Coast today, and the sunshine is the perfect segway into a great weekend. Before we all check out to relax, let’s take a look at some the new things happening on social media.
You may have seen this word pop up recently, and if you’re not quite sure what it is, then I’ll give you a brief overview. Have you ever wondered how TRULY effective your Facebook ads are at increasing revenue for your company? Well, Facebook Pixel does this for you, in addition to helping you fine tune the audience you’re targeting on Facebook. All you have to do is paste the pixel code on the header of your website, then when visitors come to your website via the ad, you’ll be able to track that, plus see what action they take on the site itself. Learn more about it here.
iMessage for Business
Apple is launching a “Business Chat” for the iMessage app, so companies can communicate with customers, troubleshoot or perform transactions. The feature will be a part of the new iOS 11 coming out this fall. Although this form of customer service will be limited to those with an Apple device, it will make finding and connecting with businesses a lot easier.
Digital Trends has the full story, and shared this photo in their article, showing an example of what Business Chat will look like.
Full Ads on Instagram Stories
This happened earlier in the year, but it’s worth noting that Instagram now allows full screen ads on their Stories. You can create 15-second videos that will fit right into the Stories while people watch. Similar to Snapchat, it meshes right in with the flow of content and provides great exposure. Learn how you can get started.
Manage Instagram via Facebook Inbox
If you have the pages app on your phone, then I have good news for you. You can now manage Instagram messages and comments via Facebook Inbox on the pages app. The new feature also allows you to edit your Instagram account details. The Social Media Examiner has a step-by-step walkthrough on getting it all set up.
